Bardsey Cricket Club

We are your local village cricket club and our aim is to encourage as many people of all ages and abilities and genders to play the game.

We run a thriving and family friendly club and are always happy to accept new members.  Our fixture programme runs from late April until early September, everyone is welcome at the ground to watch or participate.

Most of our match scores are available live, ball-by-ball and can be viewed on bardseycc.play-cricket.com

Adult cricket

We have two teams in the Airedale & Wharfedale Senior Cricket League, currently in Divisions Two and Five. The league’s clubs are spread over a broad area across West Yorkshire, featuring some rural village teams and town-based sports clubs. Adults train at the club on a Wednesday night and fixtures are every Saturday from April to September. We will be running two evening league sides this year, the fixtures will run from May on a Wednesday and Thursday, the Thursday side is aimed at young cricketers moving up into adult cricket. All ages and abilities are welcome, we are always looking to recruit new players.

Junior cricket

Boys and girls aged 7 and upwards are encouraged to join the club and give cricket a try. We enter teams at under 9, under 11, under 13, under 15 and under 18 age groups in the Leeds & Wetherby League. Training is held two nights a week – Tuesday (u9/u11/u13) and Thursday (u15/u18). Coaching is provided as part of club membership and all adults involved in running our junior section have undergone enhanced DBS checks. We have a qualified Club Welfare Officer and have adopted the ECB’s Safe Hands policies to ensure our club is a safe environment for everyone.

In and outside of the cricket season we organise events to raise funds for the club, please see our social media channels and posters in the clubhouse for more details.

If you might be interested in joining the club as a player, coach, scorer, providing teas or any other capacity please email us cricket@bardseysportsclub.com
